I know they say not to overdo it on your first day of vacation but there was just SO much to see and do!
After MoMA we decided to find Union Square. We had to backtrack a bit and jet lag was causing havoc on our directional awareness but we found our way!
The open square surrounded by designer brand boutiques was perfect to stop and drink iced tea. We wandered the alley streets looking in all the windows but avoided the awkwardness of pretending we could afford anything.
The real show stopper of this area in the huge Neiman Marcus though. So many floors and featuring the Rotunda. Even from outside it's impressive.
Upon entering your eye draws upward to the magnificent skylight.
The plan was to have a bite to eat in the restaurant but we were instantly swept up into the fashion. So many designer brands all under one roof was far too tempting. I had to watch as my mother fell in love with pieces and then as her heart sank at the price tag.
My phone was filled with clothes that stunned, shocked and took my breath away. I'm going to just share some fun things I came across. I think they all represent my 'brand' pretty well!
First of course, Alexander McQueen.
Keeping with the 'bling'...
This made me laugh until I tried it on and suddenly it felt like my whole identity. I still regret not at least trying to wear it home on the plane!
Chanel boots & Stella McCartney in stunning blue.
Once we made it to the top for the Rotunda I ordered truffle fries and a fancy ginger ale, all to sit and admire this beauty at close range.
All in all, I'd say the SF Neiman Marcus is a must stop!
