It’s not a widely known fact, but I was in fact an art teacher.
Not coincidentally, this tunic dress from NooWorks is also called ‘Art Teacher’.
It has a real hipster artist 60’s mod vibe to it so I thought I’d just go with it. Of course now I’m asking myself - do I claim this as my 60’s look or wax poetically about my days as an artist and working for the public art gallery?
I’ve already named this post The Art Teacher so we know where this is heading...
I had a lots of jobs teaching in the art world. I taught KinderArt for little ones, ran Sunday Family Drop Ins, was a travelling artist visiting schools across Simcoe County. I ran a wearable art program for high schoolers and taught so many different summer and March Break camps for galleries, museums and schools that I can’t even remember all of them!
So many fun memories, and simultaneously it feels like another lifetime.
